Solutions to Fix Blue Screen in Windows 10


1) Restart in Safe Mode

* You restart your PC and then press F8 or hold Shift + Restart.

* Choose Troubleshoot then Advanced Options then Startup Settings then Enable Safe Mode.


2) Update or Roll Back Drivers

* Right click the Start menu and choose Device Manager.

* Expand hardware categories then rightclick, and select Update driver.

If the issue is not solve after a driver update then select Roll Back Driver instead.


3) Run Windows Update

* Go to Settings then Update & Security then Windows Update.
* Click on Check for updates and install any pending ones.


4)  Use the Blue Screen Troubleshooter

* Navigate to Settings then Update & Security then Troubleshoot then Additional troubleshooters.

* Select Blue Screen and run the troubleshooter.


5) Repair Corrupt System Files

* Open Command Prompt (Admin).

* Run this command:

sfc /scannow

* Once complete run:

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth


6) Checking for Hardware Issues

* Run Windows Memory Diagnostic to test RAM.
* Use chkdsk to scan hard drives:
chkdsk C: /f /r


7)  Scan for Malware

Use Windows Security and a trusted antivirus to figure out infections that may trigger system crashes.


8) Perform a System Restore

* Go to Control Panel then Recovery then Open System Restore.

* Select a restore point before the BSOD occurred.
